How to launch the revived Buffalo shoe range, giving it a high end feel

No nineties fashion memory is complete without the iconic Buffalo shoe. To launch the brand’s new, more commercial collection SS19 we were all about recreating that nineties neon atmosphere. But this time for the modern era, with an edgy high end feel.

The Work

We came up with a cool, industrial and edgy venue: an old warehouse of 500 m2 in the former Meatpack district in the North of Antwerp.

On the guestlist: all the right brand lovers & ambassadors, from singers, performers to avantgarde stylists and photographers who’ve worked with Buffalo the previous season. They were greeted by models posing on pedestals wearing the classics, each representing a 90s icon (Cher from Clueless, Crazy Spice,…) with the new IT-shoes on the remaining displays. We provided a white room where people could mingle, whipped up some tasty London-style street food, had a live LED photo booth and neon touch-ups by our make-up artist extraordinaire…

The night club was a modular box with wall-to-wall pink fur, embodying radical femininity and contrasting sharply with the rustic warehouse walls.
Think: LED-light shows with the Buffalo-logo, previews and ambassador Hinda House performing an exclusive Buffalo song, which went viral after the event.

No show without an after party by two nineties DJ’s (DJ Yellow & The Bouquet Residents) and a dedicated goodie bag for our guests with an application form for the SS19 ambassadorship, offering them to pitch their collab ideas on a creative way in exchange for the newest pairs.
